Artificial Trees for Christmas

Friday, October 24th, 2008

Going green is one of the challenges which more and more people have chosen to follow. We all want to make the world a better place for our children. This signifies the fact that people need to be concerned about the future. Christmas is not excemption to this rule: instead of buying a natural tree, cut from the forest, we’d better buy an artificial slim Christmas tree and let the real pine trees on the mountains, where they belong to. Artificial trees are better than natural ones because their needles don’t fall off the branches after one week inside the house.

Christmas Trees by Width

There are several types of Christmas trees, according to their width: normal trees, with an width of about 60-90 inches, slim trees, with widths between 40 and 60 inches and pencil trees, which are so narrow that they fit well in really small rooms. A flocked Christmas tree can make you feel like in the middle of the nature, thanks to the great snow-covered look; another cool option is a white slim Christmas tree, which ressembles like the ones in the woods, making you feel like you are spending your winter holidays in the middle of the nature. Very innovative are the half-tressm, which are exactly what their name shows: halves of trees, so you can put them by the wall, thus making more space for gifts and guests. These trees are suitable for very small rooms or lobbies.

Christmas Trees by Color and Feel

Artificial Christmas trees can come in multiple colors, the most popular ones being green, black, red, pink or white. Silver trees are also in fashion and so are strange colors like purple. They can be pre-lit, with many small light bulbs which function indpendently, so if one burns our, the others continue staying lit.

Whatever type of tree you decide to buy for Christmas, don’t foget that you can also get unusual shapes, such as pencil, cross or swirl.
